Hargo.co.id, GORONTALO – Residents of Bone Bolango Regency are urged not to vote for legislative candidates (Caleg) who justify the practice of money politics to secure seats in the legislative building.
The request was firmly conveyed by the Acting Regent of Bone Bolango, Merlan Uloli, during his speech while distributing government rice reserve aid to residents in 12 villages and urban neighborhoods in the Kabila District on Monday (25/12/2023).
“I ask all of you not to choose candidates who engage in money politics,” emphasized Merlan.
Merlan advised the community to prefer candidates who genuinely care about aspirations and grievances rather than those involved in money politics.
“Remember, your voices will determine your fate for the next five years. Therefore, don’t be swayed just because of material temptations; you might regret it,” Merlan warned.
On that occasion, Merlan also urged residents to maintain the region’s stability during the upcoming 2024 elections.
“In 2024, we will face a democratic celebration. I hope all of you can maintain security so that the elections in Bone Bolango can be carried out successfully,” concluded Merlan.
The 12 villages and urban neighborhoods in the Kabila District visited by Merlan to distribute the government rice reserve aid include Dutohe Village, West Dutohe Village, Tanggilingo Village, Padengo Urban Neighborhood, Oluhuta Urban Neighborhood, Tumbihe Urban Neighborhood, Pauwo Urban Neighborhood, North Oluhuta Urban Neighborhood, Talango Village, South Toto Village, West Poowo Village, and Poowo Village.(*)
